HONG KONG— Cathay Pacific (CX) will resume non-stop passenger flights to Seattle (SEA) starting 30 March 2026, adding its ninth North American destination. The new route strengthens the airline’s global hub in Hong Kong and enhances links to the U.S. West Coast.

The carrier recently launched direct service to Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), which will increase to daily service from 26 October 2025. Together with the upcoming Seattle return, Cathay Pacific is building one of its most comprehensive North America schedules to date.

Cathay Pacific to Restart Seattle Flights

The Seattle relaunch signals Cathay Pacific’s commitment to serving major U.S. gateways with consistent frequency.

Seattle is a key technology and cultural hub, and its addition provides another convenient entry point for passengers traveling between Asia and the United States.

Lavinia Lau, Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, emphasized that the route will support growing demand not only from Hong Kong but also from travelers connecting through the hub from Mainland China and India.

Seattle passengers will gain access to over 100 onward destinations via Cathay Pacific’s global network.

Customer Experience Enhancements

Cathay Pacific continues to upgrade its customer experience across North America routes. The airline recently introduced the Aria Suite in Business Class, a redesigned Premium Economy, and refreshed Economy cabins. These upgrades are already featured on selected Vancouver flights.

In 2026, Cathay Pacific will also open its first dedicated U.S. airport lounge, a nearly 10,000-square-foot flagship space in John F. Kennedy International Airport’s new Terminal 6.

Passengers across all cabins can expect award-winning in-flight entertainment and menus co-developed with Michelin-starred restaurants in Hong Kong.

The Seattle flights will also benefit cargo operations. Cathay Pacific Cargo will use the bellyhold capacity of the A350-900 to supplement its dedicated freighter network, which is expected to run close to 40 weekly return services to North America during the 2026 summer season.
