ATLANTA- Delta Air Lines (DL) is enhancing its Seattle hub with new nonstop flights from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) to Barcelona (BCN) and Rome (FCO), alongside two new premium lounges. These developments solidify Delta’s position as Seattle’s leading global carrier.
The expansion includes priority gate access, sustainable innovations, and locally inspired dining, offering travelers elevated experiences. Delta’s investments reflect a commitment to premium service and regional connectivity.

Delta Two New Destinations
Delta Air Lines (DL) is deepening its presence at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) by launching daily nonstop flights to Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) and Rome-Fiumicino Airport (FCO) starting May 2026.
These routes, operated on the advanced Airbus A330-900neo, cater to travelers seeking iconic European destinations. Delta One cabins feature lie-flat seats, privacy doors, and curated dining, while Delta Premium Select offers enhanced seating and amenities for long-haul comfort.
Over the past decade, Delta has introduced 28 new markets from Seattle, now serving over 60 global destinations with nearly 180 peak-day departures. Strategic alliances expand access to hundreds of additional cities across Europe, Asia, and Latin America, reinforcing Seattle’s role as a key international gateway.
The airline has also secured priority access to 18 gates across Concourses A and B at SEA, streamlining operations and improving passenger flow from check-in to boarding.
Port of Seattle Commissioner Fred Felleman noted that these enhancements strengthen cultural and economic ties, benefiting travelers and the region’s vibrant community.

Premium Lounge Experiences Seattle
Delta is elevating the travel experience with the introduction of two new lounges at SEA: a 24,000-square-foot Delta One Lounge and a Delta Sky Club, located across from Gate A11.
The Delta One Lounge, designed for exclusivity, seats 149 indoors and 72 on a scenic terrace with views of Mt. Rainier. The Delta Sky Club, accommodating 183 guests, features expansive windows showcasing the Pacific Northwest’s natural beauty.
These spaces, the fourth Delta One Lounge and third new Delta Sky Club in Delta’s network, bring the total to 57 lounges worldwide.
The lounges reflect Seattle’s aesthetic with stone accents, wood paneling, and a color palette of emerald, navy, and rust. Local artwork, including Pam Kueny Taylor’s “Time to Migrate,” adds cultural depth.
Sustainability is prioritized with smart windows, all-electric energy, and reusable dinnerware, creating an eco-friendly environment.
Delta One passengers also benefit from a concierge-style check-in and access to TSA PreCheck Touchless ID for expedited security, a service expanding to all Delta hubs by year-end.

Culinary Excellence
The Delta One Lounge offers a Seattle-inspired fine-dining experience with an open kitchen featuring dishes like Dungeness crab cannelloni, wood-fired teriyaki steelhead, and Rainier cherry sundae.
Breakfast includes Dungeness crab benedict and Dutch baby pancakes with cherry compote. Beverages highlight local favorites, such as Caffe Umbria coffee and a West Coast–focused wine selection.
The Delta Sky Club serves seasonal specialties like Ivar’s clam chowder, lemon chicken, and marionberry crumble, paired with Starbucks coffee.
Both lounges offer premium cocktails and non-alcoholic options, enhancing the regional dining experience.

Sustainability
Delta’s Seattle hub emphasizes eco-friendly practices, with 87% of its CORE fleet and 70% of ground support equipment at SEA now electric.
The Port of Seattle recognized Delta with a Sustainable Century Award for operating the highest percentage of fuel-efficient aircraft at SEA.
The lounges incorporate sustainable design elements, such as motion-sensing lights and energy-efficient windows, reducing environmental impact while maintaining a premium atmosphere.
Delta’s 2,700 employees in Washington state support partnerships with local brands like Starbucks and T-Mobile, as well as sponsorships of the Seattle Seahawks and Sounders FC. These efforts underscore Delta’s long-term commitment to fostering community engagement and economic growth in the region.
