ATLANTA- Delta Air Lines (DL) is reaffirming its long-term commitment to Nigerian travelers with major upgrades on its Lagos USA flights.
Customers departing from Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos (LOS), will now benefit from a premium lounge experience and next-generation aircraft.
From July 1, the airline will unveil a renovated lounge at LOS, and starting in October, it will deploy its most advanced widebody aircraft on flights to Atlanta (ATL) and New York (JFK), enhancing comfort and connectivity for transatlantic passengers.

Delta Lagos USA Flights
Delta Air Lines has served Nigeria for nearly two decades, and its newest upgrades represent a strategic investment in enhancing both ground and in-flight services.
Beginning July 1, customers departing from Lagos (LOS) will have access to a newly upgraded premium lounge inside Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
This facility reflects Delta’s premium positioning and targets both Delta One passengers and high-value clientele from key industries like oil and gas.
Later in 2025, Delta will introduce its most technologically advanced aircraft to date, starting with the Airbus A350-900 on the Lagos–Atlanta (LOS–ATL) route in October.
During the high-demand travel season between December 2 and January 16, the Airbus A330-900neo will operate on the Lagos–New York (LOS–JFK) route, replacing the older A330-200 model.
These aircraft are part of Delta’s broader transatlantic strategy, offering larger capacity, better fuel efficiency, and premium onboard experiences.
With Delta One Suites, Delta Premium Select, and enhanced Main Cabin features, passengers flying between Nigeria and the US will experience elevated service from check-in to touchdown.

- High-speed Wi-Fi
- Premium food and beverages
- Private relaxation areas
- Personalized service for premium passengers
By improving pre-flight comfort, Delta strengthens its appeal to business travelers and premium leisure customers flying transatlantic from West Africa.

Next-Gen Aircraft
The Airbus A350-900, Delta’s flagship aircraft, will serve the LOS–ATL route, replacing the A330-200 and offering a 35% increase in seat capacity. Key features include:
- Delta One Suites with sliding doors
- Delta Premium Select for added space and amenities
- Advanced noise reduction and air filtration
- In-flight entertainment with ambient lighting
For the busy holiday season, the Airbus A330-900neo will support operations on the LOS–JFK route. It offers better cabin pressure, improved humidity, and a more relaxing journey ideal for long-haul travel.

Enhanced Comfort
Delta’s cabin experience includes several enhancements designed for modern long-distance travel:
- Memory foam cuddle pillows and mattress pads on flights over 12 hours
- Missoni-designed Delta One amenity kits, socks, slippers, and eye masks
