United Airlines Adds Winter Flights

The United (UA) winter schedule is designed to increase travel options during the peak holiday season and beyond.

United is adding one extra daily round-trip flight between Houston (IAH) and cities such as Orlando (MCO), Las Vegas (LAS), New Orleans (MSY), Atlanta (ATL), Baltimore (BWI), and Miami (MIA).

Similarly, Chicago (ORD) will see added frequencies to Orlando (MCO), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), New Orleans (MSY), and Las Vegas (LAS).

From Newark (EWR), additional daily flights to Orlando (MCO) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL) will be available, while Los Angeles (LAX) gains a new daily connection to Las Vegas (LAS).

Notably, United will also launch two new routes from Newark (EWR) to Columbia, South Carolina (CAE), and Chattanooga, Tennessee (CHA), expanding its coverage in underserved regional markets.

Strengthening International Connections

United is expanding its presence in Central America with new weekly flights from Houston (IAH).

The updated schedule includes three weekly services to Guatemala City, Guatemala (GUA), three to San Salvador, El Salvador (SAL), and one to San Pedro Sula, Honduras (SAP).

These routes reflect the airline’s commitment to supporting strong demand for family, business, and leisure travel between the United States and Central America.

Enhancing Capacity on Key Routes

In addition to new flights, United will increase capacity on major routes. Larger aircraft will be deployed on the busy Chicago (ORD) to New York LaGuardia (LGA) route, offering more seats and better connectivity for travelers outside of United’s primary hubs.

The carrier is also adding flights between Houston (IAH), Chicago (ORD), and Los Angeles (LAX) to ensure smoother connections across its network.

According to Patrick Quayle, United’s Senior Vice President of Global Network Planning and Alliances, the expansion is partly aimed at offering alternatives to travelers impacted by potential industry disruptions.

This strategy ensures passengers have reliable options while maintaining United’s competitive position across key leisure and business markets.

United’s Growing Network

United remains the largest airline in the world, serving over 360 global destinations, including 75 unique to the carrier within the United States.

With this winter expansion, United will operate 45 daily flights to Orlando (MCO), 30 to Fort Lauderdale (FLL), and 43 to Las Vegas (LAS).

Across its hubs, the airline averages more than 4,000 daily domestic flights, reinforcing its role as a leading connector of US travelers to both domestic and international destinations.
