For travelers, punctuality is more than a number—it’s the difference between a smooth trip and a missed connection. Airlines that consistently operate on schedule save passengers time, reduce the stress of uncertainty, and reinforce trust in their brand.
Every month, OAG’s global on-time performance (OTP) rankings shed light on which airlines are meeting this critical standard. In August 2025, the results span continents, with carriers from the Middle East, Asia, Latin America, Africa, Europe, and North America represented in the Top 20.

Most Punctual Airlines of August 2025
Airline OTP is measured by the actual gate arrival time. If a flight lands within 15 minutes of its scheduled arrival, it is considered “on time.”
Anything later than that counts against the OTP score. Importantly, cancellations are also included and classified as “not on time.” This means that the rankings reward both punctual arrivals and operational reliability, offering travelers a fuller picture of performance.

Most Punctual in the Middle East
In August 2025, Royal Jordanian (RJ) topped not only its region but also the world rankings, with an impressive OTP of 93.24%. Out of 4,034 flights, only 0.12% were canceled.
Close behind are Oman Air (WY) and Qatar Airways (QR), both of which maintain OTP scores above 84%. Oman Air distinguished itself with one of the lowest cancellation rates among the Top 20, at just 0.05%.

Asia stands out as the most diverse region in the August 2025 OTP rankings, with airlines from Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, and South Asia all performing strongly. Leading the way is Philippine Airlines (PR), which ranked second globally with an OTP of 92.97 percent.
Out of nearly 10,000 flights operated in August, fewer than one percent were canceled, underscoring the flag carrier’s focus on punctuality despite operating in one of the world’s busiest and most congested air corridors.
