Chase Ends Partnership with Emirates Airline in Ultimate Rewards Program

dailyblitz.de 2 часы назад

DUBAI- Chase Ultimate Rewards will remove Emirates (EK) Skywards as a transfer partner on October 15, 2025. This means members have only a limited time to transfer points to Emirates before the partnership ends.

While Emirates flights operate out of Dubai International Airport (DXB), Chase customers will still have access to other airline and hotel partners with no changes to the 1:1 transfer ratio. Unlike Citi and Amex, which reduced transfer rates, Chase maintains parity across its programs.

Chase Ends Emirates Skywards Transfers

Chase’s decision reflects the limited value Emirates Skywards provides to most members. Emirates Skywards miles are primarily useful for upgrading business to first class, but they come with high surcharges, complex restrictions, and inflated award pricing.

Reported by View from the Wing, other programs such as Qantas Frequent Flyer often offer better redemption rates on the same Emirates routes.

For everyday travelers, Emirates loyalty has little appeal beyond marketing value to premium flyers. By contrast, Chase’s other airline partners provide broader and more competitive redemption opportunities.

Current Chase Partners

Chase Ultimate Rewards continues to offer a strong portfolio of partners across all major alliances:

  • Star Alliance: United MileagePlus, Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer, Air Canada Aeroplan
  • oneworld: British Airways Executive Club, Iberia Plus
  • SkyTeam: Air France KLM Flying Blue, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club
  • Non-alliance: Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards, Aer Lingus AerClub
  • Hotels: World of Hyatt, Marriott Bonvoy, IHG One Rewards

Hyatt remains the standout partner, as no other credit card program offers it. Aeroplan and Flying Blue also provide excellent Star Alliance and SkyTeam coverage, making them attractive alternatives for premium cabin bookings.

Potential Future Transfer Partners

Chase could strengthen its program further by adding new partners. Options include:

  • Finnair Plus and Qantas Frequent Flyer for oneworld coverage
  • Etihad Guest, despite its weaker program value
  • Hotel and lifestyle programs such as Accor Live Limitless or GHA Discovery
  • Regional carriers like JSX, which already has ties to Chase via United’s partial ownership and existing card benefits

Such additions would diversify the program and enhance flexibility for cardholders seeking unique redemption opportunities.

Premium Cabin Redemptions

One concern is the potential loss of premium cabin access through Emirates (EK).

PointsBoost previously allowed Chase members to secure up to 2 cents per point value for first and business class redemptions on Emirates.

With Skywards no longer an option, this premium redemption pathway may disappear entirely.
